Intro: Futurist have very little to claim as being in the past other than the Spring Feasts of the Lord that could be seen it a literal sense while the Fall feasts and events were Spiritual in nature in the unseen realm during the first century. When you think about it the Blowing of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and Feast of tabernacles were generally accomplished in the unseen realm but the Spring Feasts were in the seen realm.

1 This is an intro to a Journey Through of the Feasts of the Lord and Holy Convocations that played out during the time from Moses to AD70 and the new beginning of the New Heaven and Earth through the types and antitypes. 2 This was like a road map showing us God’s plan of redemption or a prophecy of timed events that would occur before the end of the Age in AD70.

3 The first perspective on Preterism was back in Leviticus 23 with the last Fall Feast and Holy Convocations. 4 The first two Feasts and Holy Convocations were in the Springtime with a dry period of four months until the Fall Feast and Holy Convocations came into play. 5 These Feasts and Holy Convocations were like a play rehearsal for the time of the end of the Age that the people of Israel did for more than 1300 years.

6 The Feast of the Lord and Holy Convocations foreshadowed the events that took place after the ministry of Jesus Christ was complete with the anti-type or fulfillment of His death in The Lord’s Passover.

7 The Feast of Unleavened Bread which followed the next day after Passover was the exodus from the bondage in Egypt which the antitype is leaving our old life in the flesh behind and entering into the realm of the Spirit and being alive.

8 The Day of First-Fruits was a Holy Convocation because it was a Sabbath and was fulfilled with the resurrection of the first-fruits of Israel after Christ the firstborn who is the I Am before Abraham appears in Matt. 27:51-53.

John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

9 They went out and appeared to many in the holy city and I would say this happened after the three days and nights Jesus was in the grave and after Christ was resurrected. 10 Jesus was the first one resurrected and then all the saints from the past who were in their hades rose up after Him. 11 The verse in Matthew 27:50 makes it look like Jesus yield up His Spirt while dying on the cross but Jesus had to go to hades or like Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and nights before He could yield up His Spirit. 12 The writers of the scriptures did not always write the the events in their proper order or at precisely the right timing that they occurred in. They wrote things many years later just like Moses did.

13 The Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost was when the Ten Commandments were given and 3000 died after they made a calf to worship. 14 Then on the Day of Pentecost the fulfillment came  the fulfillment with the infilling of the Holy Spirit with 3000 being saved to the establishment of the New Covenant. 15 These Spring Feasts were in type of the first century saints that were baptized into Christ death and resurrection and infilling of the Holy Spirit.

16 Then there was a forty year period which was one generation also associated with the 1000 year reign of Christ when the anti-type of the Fall Feasts were fulfilled after those 40 years.

17 The Fall Feast and Holy Convocations began at the end of the Age between AD66 to AD70 with the Holy Convocation of the Blowing of Trumpets and when the Great Tribulation began, to when the Temple was destroyed and the resurrection of the just and unjust occurred.

According to Josephus, the temple was burned on the 10th day of the month Lous (Av). Here is the quote: But, as for that house, God had for certain long ago doomed it to the fire; and now that fatal day was come, according to the revolution of ages; it was the tenth day of the month Lous [Ab], upon which it was formerly burnt by the king of Babylon. [Wars (Thackeray 6:250) or (Whiston 6.4.5)]

Av is the eleventh month of the civil year and the fifth month of the ecclesiastical year on the Hebrew calendar. That would mean that August 10th AD70 is the common belief when the Temple was destroyed.

18 The Holy Convocation of the Blowing of Trumpets was the first fall Holy Convocation which was similar to the walls of Jericho coming down in according to Joshua 6:1–27. 19 Also at the sound of the last trump the dead rise with both the just and the unjust for judgment with the second appearing of Christ and the announcement of the inviting to all nations of the Earth to the marriage of the Lamb for the Feast of Tabernacles. 20 The Seventh Trumpet was an announcement to the resurrection of the dead. Rev. 11:15-19 and with the Temple type being destroyed pathed the way for the antitype Temple in Heaven to be open.

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 11:1515 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” 16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying:

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,

The One who is and who was and who is to come,

Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,

And the time of the dead, that they should be judged,

And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,

And those who fear Your name, small and great,

And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

21 The second Fall-time Holy Convocation was the Day of Atonement which was the Judgment Day at the Great White Thrown Judgement after Jesus Christ returned as the High Priest who entered into the Most Holy Place with His blood and waited for it to be accepted by the Father, which could not be done while the Temple still stood according to Hebrews 9: 8. 22 The Holy Convocation Day of Atonement was not just for Israel as a nation as it was for over 1300 years for a type, it was the antitype for the whole world.

23 The Day of Atonement was also the time that the 50th year Jubilee began which points to the fulfillment of Daniel’s 70 weeks ending in AD70 with a Tenfold Grand Ultimate Jubilee. 24 This marked the time of the regeneration of the New Glorious Creation mentioned in Romans 8:19-23 for all of creation.

Leviticus 25:8-10

The Year of Jubilee

8 ‘And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. 9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. 10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

25 Then there was the final Feast of Tabernacles which the antitype is the New Heaven and Earth and the marriage of Christ and the first century Church and when God would tabernacle with His people and fellowship with them. 26 It was required that all the nations of the Earth from Noah to attend this Feast in Jerusalem during the Old Covenant for a blessing or they would be cursed with no rain, which signified it would be for the whole world as the antitype in AD70.

Revelation 21: 1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

27 Many people believe that Rev. 21:4 was meant to be taken literally. Well for sure in the hereafter. 28 But I believe it should be taken to saying no more weeping and fasting, no more painful deaths of animal sacrifices which was required on the Holy Convocation Day of Atonement for here on Earth.
