Latter-Rain Outpouring of the Holy Spirit & Fire on All Flesh

5 I never have heard of before, how the Latter Rain or second outpouring happened in AD66 and here is an interesting comment from Josephus about what happened at the Feast of Pentecost in AD66 that was similar to the Pentecost in AD33:

“Moreover at that feast which we call Pentecost [June 66 AD], as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the] temple, as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, ‘Let us remove hence.’”[Wars 6.299 (6.5.3)]

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

9 John came to prepare the way of the Lord through the Spirit of Elisha and could be seen as the second coming Elisha. 10  Jesus second coming in the clouds of Judgment was like the antitype of John’s warning to the Pharisees for wrath that was coming to them. 11 With Christ first coming and after His ascension, Pentecost was fulfilled with the former rain with gifts of the Holy Spirit. 12 First for those who were waiting for it in the Upper Room for the Former Rain Outpouring of the Holy Spirit to be given to them, they received the first fruits of the Spirit. 13 That would empower them to preach the gospel with signs and miracles like Christ did to gentile nations unto the end of the Age. 14 Then the Latter Rain outpouring of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire would be eventual given to the whole world in AD70, then the perfect came with All Things Made New.

Ascension of Elijah Vs. Ascension of Christ:

15 Now to back up a bit, it is interesting to note that Elisha received a double portion of God’s Spirit after he saw Elijah ascended up into the clouds in a whirl wind and here is the story.

2 Kings 2:9 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?”

Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

10 So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” 11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. 13 He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. 14 Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.

15 Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

16 Here we can see the antitype with Christ ascension and the first outpouring at Pentecost in Act 1 compared to the type with the ascension of Elijah and the double portion outpouring of his Spirit into Elisha. 17 Was this in type of a double portion to be outpoured in AD70 for the whole world for the antitype.

 18 Now John the Baptist comes into play as the second coming of Elisha to prepare the way of the Lords first coming. 19 Christ second coming in the clouds was going to a blessing to the whole world after the Great White Throne Judgment with the Feast of Tabernacle. 20 He would bless the whole world as well as separate the sheep and they would enter into the New Jerusalem, from the goats and cast the them into the Refining Fire with a double portion of His Holy Spirit indwelling everyone in the world.


20 Now the big question is what happens to the unjust, the non believers in Christ that ended up having the Holy Spirit’s refining fire indwelling them because they are not yielding their lives to the Holy Spirit to be a Temple for God’s glory. 21 It puts them into the refining fire until they repent and confess their sins like the Prodigal Son did, and if the don’t before they physical die their Spirit after it goes back to God who is a consuming fire that becomes their the Lake of Fire that they are cast into. 22 God’s presence is seen as fire throughout the Bible and His presence has been everywhere since the Old Covenant’s Temple was thorn down. 23 Those walls of the Old Covenant Temple represented separation and the walls of separation no longer exist. 24 Even with the air we all breathe which goes into our lungs and circulates in our blood to every cell in our bodies is in the presence of God and fuels the consuming fire so that God may be all in all. 25 He is a refining fire as well as a consuming Fire working in everyone life while we are alive on Earth until the hereafter and beyond and no one can be separated from Him like they were in the old Age.

Hebrews 12: 28Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 25For our God is a consuming fire.

26 We are the Temple for the Holy Spirit to indwell in and Christ has made all alive and we all are children of the resurrection including the prodigal who have left to go out into the world and open themselves up to other Spirits which defile the Temple of the Holy Spirit. 27 Can you see now the horror John was describing to the Pharisees that would happen to them now. 28 Image that the Spirit of God was in them refining or consuming things up. Those who become like the Prodigal Son not measure up to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego when they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace, their mortal Spirit and Spiritual body would eventually be burnt to ashes in the hereafter if they do not return back our Everlasting Father and be clothed again like they were at birth with Immortal life. 

29 There were two differences between the Latter Rain which happened in AD66 for the First Fruits of Israel and those who had the Spirit, and then for the whole Earth in AD70 for the final harvest that would fulfill Joel 2. 30 Compared to Pentecost which was just the Former Rain blessing for the first fruits. 31 It should give some insight to consider, especially Joel 2:28 where it says I will pour out My Spirit on ALL FLESH.

Joel 2

The Day of the Lord:

2 

Blow the trumpet in Zion,
And sound an alarm in My holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble;
For the day of the Lord is coming,
For it is at hand:

 3 A fire devours before them,
And behind them a flame burns;
The land is like the Garden of Eden before them,
And behind them a desolate wilderness;
Surely nothing shall escape them.

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, you children of Zion,
And rejoice in the Lord your God;
For He has given you the former rain faithfully,
And He will cause the rain to come down for you—
The former rain,
And the latter rain in the first month.

God’s Spirit Poured Out 

Joel 2: 28 

“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.

29 

And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

30 

“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.

31 

The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

32 

And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.
For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be [m]deliverance,
As the Lord has said,
Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.

32 We can see the Feast of Tabernacles here in The Day of the Lord and Latter Rain.

Zechariah 14

The Day of the Lord

Zechariah 14:1 Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.

33 Now skip down to verse 16 and we can see in type the blessing of Latter Rain “Outpouring of the Holy Spirit” awaiting the whole world for those nations who would attend the Feast of Tabernacles because this was not in type for the antitype for the Feast of Pentecost fulfillment, it was in type for the Feast of Tabernacles fulfillment. 34 In other words the New Heaven and Earth.

Zechariah14:16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

35 Either for a blessing or a curse with the outpouring of the Latter Rain the Pharisees would be burned up Spiritually by the Fire of the Holy Spirit  that John was warning about them being baptized with.

Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

36 The double portion Elisha received could have been a type for the Baptism of the Latter Rains outpouring and we can see a difference when compared to Holy Spirit & Fire in the Upper Room. 37 There was a small outpouring of the Holy Spirit that filled a 120 people with divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. 38 Compared a much larger degree of the fire that destroyed Jerusalem, the Temple, the Old Covenant and the Old Heaven & Earth in AD70.

Coming of the Holy Spirit’s Former-Rain Outpouring

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Luke 12:49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!

Latter-Rain’s Outpouring

Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

39 I see this process of being seasoned with fire starting at the outpouring at Pentecost.

Mark 9:49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.

40 The foundation for the New Heaven & Earth was built on Jesus Christ with All Things Made New for a new world order with newness of life like it was in the Garden of Eden before Adam sinned. 41 Adam’s foundation came from the Tree of Knowledge and the death that came as a results of that it was cast into the Lake of Fire in AD70. 42 This made it possible for all of mankind to have been made alive by Christ and saved from the curse of the laws mankind had made that were unto themselves that came from the Tree of Knowledge. 43 For this reason God now is with us and in us, but these verse apply to us today in the New Heaven & Earth because that fire came as a new means of a new order for the world to live by when it was revealed in AD66.

1 Corinthians 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

Conclusion:

44 To understand the parable of the Ten Virgins we need to understand that vessels and lamps are symbolic of people and oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.


2 Timothy 2:20-21 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour. 21Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins:

Matthew 25: 1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

45 The only ones who took oil with them to put into their vessels were the wise. 46 They all had oil in the lamps, but they needed extra oil for the Bridegroom was delayed but not by two thousand years and still counting, so they needed the extra oil for the extended amount of time. 47 Just like the whole world was Baptized into the Holy Spirit with the Latter Rain’s outpouring they to ran out of oil and slept in Outer Darkness and after realizing it they weeped and gnashed their teeth wanting more oil. 48 Oil speaking of the Holy Spirit, vessels speaks of their bodies being indwelling with the Holy Spirit after their Former Rain oil from Pentecost ran out. 49 That extra oil goes from being delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God that is incorruptible at the coming of the Lord. 50 This is how those who were alive and remained who were going to be the Bride of Christ who had their bodies changed in a twinkling of an eye while the foolish virgins ran out of oil and the door was shut. 51 So the wise virgins never did experience a physical death like all others did before them nor did they have to wait in Hades to be resurrected like those who did in Matthew 27:51-53.

52 Only the wise who were alive at the coming of the Lord retained enough oil to make themselves ready for the marriage to Jesus Christ. 53 The foolish got left behind in Outer Darkness like the Prodigal Son when he departed from his Father and slipped off into the world of pleasure that lead to his Spiritual death. 54 He eventually was tormented in the refining fire until he returned back to his father where he came back to life and was Spiritually born again.

55 The Churches of Christ “CoC” which is what Max King belonged to and he was the founder of Full Preterism movement believed that when a person reaches the age of accountability they have sinned and then need forgiveness. 56 This would mean that a child would be born alive in Christ to me and when later on in life, they sin like the Prodigal Son did.

57It seems to me that they were on the right track to something here because pre AD70 all were born under Adam’s sin and death. 58 They realized to some degree about the Manifestation of the Sons of God and about all of creation itself l being delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God in AD70. 59 I just haven’t seen anything from those who believe in the Covenantal Eschatology view which is the main view of Full Preterism, mention anything like I do concerning the Manifested Sons of God. 60 They believe that the adoption and redemptive body mentioned in Romans 8:23 means a corporate body instead of an Immortal Spirited Being’s body and that only believers are part of Glorious Creation while everyone else in still under Adam’s sin and death.


61 Most of those but not all who have the Covenantal Eschatology view also believe in the Corporate Body View CBV, and some of them, not all believe in the anti- indwelling of the Holy Spirit post AD70.

62 This will be their down fall of those who believe in the anti- indwelling of the Holy Spirit after AD70 of those who promote that, when the truth comes out fully it will be worst then getting left behind like Moses did in the wilderness. 63 Without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit they may have to face at physical death what the foolish virgins faced in:

Matthew 25:11-11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.

64 Edward E. Stevens was saying about the CBV, that something did not sitting with him right about it back in 1978 when he was with Max King and his shared that view with Ed. 66 Ed Stevens developed the Individual Body View IBV in 1993 after 15 or 18 years of going along with the CBV. 67 The IBV makes more sense to me because of the analysis Ed Stevens did plus Ed Stevens steered away from the anti- indwelling of the Holy Spirit post AD70 view as well a few other things. 68 However there are lot who support anti- indwelling of the Holy Spirit post AD70 that believe in the CBV.


69 Ed Stevens has a podcast called Rom 8 – Redemption of Our Body Posted on September 23, 2014 by Ed Stevens, and he does a complete analysis on Romans 8 were at Pre AD70 they were waiting for the glory which shall be revealed in them. 70 Ed Stevens mentions that the whole world and not just the saints were eagerly waiting for something new that even the Church would experience.

Romans 8:18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labours with birth pangs together until now. 23Not only that, but we also who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

71 Immortality is put on us at birth like clothing or wrapped around our Spirit like a cocoon so we can be conformed into the image of Christ Spiritually and wait until physical death to go through the seed to plant illustrations to get a Spiritual body like Christ has for our Spirit in the hereafter.

72 I am convinced now that the extra oil that the wise virgins took with them before they went out to meet the Bridegroom was the oil that represented the Latter Rain Outpouring to help get them ready for the Marriage of the Lamb. 73 The outpouring would continue to be poured out on the whole Earth for the adoption from Adam to Christ where all of mankind as Offspring of our Everlasting Father. 74 The Former Outpouring was the oil that all ten virgins got in their vessels from the Day of Pentecost and the extra oil would hold them out until they met Jesus again that it was speaking about in The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins.

75 I see Max King in his Corporate Body View as a stepping stone that helped take us to present day truth here now with Ed Stevens Individual Body View, but the CBV is a dead end street just like when Moses and that whole generation were not permitted to enter into the promise land. 76 But it was a stepping stone for me and many others that I’m thankful for what Max King had to offer but a lot of things in the Covenantal Eschatology view, did not sit right with me either. 77 Back in 2010 I wanted to venture out and Transcend beyond AD70. 78 Back in 2010 I respected Ed Stevens who was willing to be open to explore beyond AD70 as well.


79 After one of the main leaders in Full Preterism who believed in the CBV said he believes all of us still were effected by Adam’s sin and death and that people today need to be born again from in order to be saved. 80 That seems odd to me because at the same time they believed that death was cast into the Lake of Fire and still believe non believers were in Adam’s sin and death. 81 It confused me and I though maybe he had some other kind of death in mind either that or he did not connect death with Adam’s death being cast into the Lake of Fire in AD70. 82 Sometimes it takes a while for us to see things more clearly but it is usually when we are trying to defend our view the Spiritual blinders are on and not willing to be open minded. 83 He seemed to be stuck in the wilderness like Moses was except in the first century antitype and it was as if he could not get beyond AD70 and explore the promised land with the antitypes of the New Heaven & Earth that Joshua was a type of in there promised land. 84 So its like I am here now like with Joshua living after crossing the Jordan River looking back at all those were left behind in the wilderness, still eating the Manna from 2000 years ago when the Church was being the antitype in the wilderness, and striking that Rock for water not once but twice, and lifting up the Bronze Serpent as if worshipping it in the high places like they did after entering the promised land.

85 When our eschatology view is on the right track everything else will fall in line and we will realize that we have the glory that was to be revealed in but we will find ourselves changing our position in our views many times before settling in on the truth:

 Romans 8:18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.


86 We are living in the Glorious New Creation now in the New Heaven & Earth.

Romans 8:21because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
