Typology of the Nephilim and the Sons of God

1 In the beginning when God created the Heavens and Earth I believe the Heavens were created first and that everything in the Spiritual realm was first. 2 The Angels were in existence before the Earth was created but after the Earth was created and before Adam and Eve were created this is what happened:

Revelation 12:7And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

3 Satan was a Spirited being that was invisible but manifested through a serpent to deceive Eve into disobeying God. 4 Satan was also around when the Sons of God presented themselves before the Lord which was on the Earth, not in Heaven. 5 As well as in the wilderness when Jesus was lead there to be tempted by Satan; some people mock the existence of Satan by saying do you believe in talking snakes when in reality they are blind to the typologies used in the scriptures. 6 This is important to see that it was not in Heaven for it opposes the main view on who the Sons of God were when the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy when relating it to Genesis 4:26 when men began to call on the name of the Lord.

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. 2And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” 3 Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

7 There is a saying out there that says if you begin in error in the Book of Genesis you will end up in error in the Book of Revelation, no truer words can be said. 8 The main rule in typology for us on Earth is that first comes the natural as the type, then the Spiritual as the antitype, but in Heavenly realm it was Spiritual only that the type reflected on because flesh and blood can not enter the Kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 15:46However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

9 Adam was the first man, Jesus was the second man and by that I mean Adam was the natural or Earthly man, and Jesus was the Spiritual or Heavenly man. 10 The same is true for the Sons of God, in Genesis 6 the Sons of God were natural Earthly men. 11 In Romans 8:19 the Sons of God are the Spiritual Heavenly children of Jesus Christ our Everlasting Father. 12 In Genesis 1 it is the natural creation of the whole world, In Romans 8:20-22 it is the Spiritual Creation of the whole world and is a worldview of it.

13 There is not one scripture in the New Testament that says a third Temple will be built that people call Ezekiel’s Temple. 14 It would have been contrary to the New Testament Scriptures, pointing to the spiritual reality: we are the temple of God, and each one of us living stones. 15 God is spirit and we must worship in Spirit and truth. 16 If anything Ezekiel’s Temple would have been a picture of the Heavenly Temple made in the unseenSpiritual realm for the New Heaven and Earth which is also in the unseenSpiritual realm.

17 Mainline Christianity has it as first the natural, then the Spiritual, then flip back to the natural with their physical return of Christ and a physical Kingdom here on Earth etc. 18 Mainline Full Preterism has it with their Covenant Creation view as first the Spiritual, then the Natural, Then back to the Spiritual view. 19 They Spiritualize Genesis 1 account of God’s creation which leaves the natural creation out of their main starting point. 20 As a results they end up with a Church Only View for the final results in the restoration of all things according to Romans 8:18-25 that leaves the rest of the Whole Creation back in Adam’s sin and death which was suppose to have been cast into the Lake of Fire in AD70.

21 One of the most un-noticeable errors of all time that has by far the most damaging results to end up right with has been with the view that the Sons of God in Genesis 6 were Spiritual beings first, instead of natural men. 22 By saying the Sons of God were fallen Angels and Spirited beings whom God created as His children before He created Adam and Eve and before the creation of the Earth that would die like men. 23 This has been the acceptable story over the centuries that has never sat right with me. 24 Just so you know more about it in case you are not aware of it you can watch one of David Curtis’s videos on Youtube called the Divine Counsel that explains this well. 25 As well as this quote that I got from Andy Hauter when we were sharing with each other our views on this topic. 25 Andy is a respectable Brothers who I enjoying sharing with who is a Futurist that understands what Full Preterist believe in. 26 I guess it was a challenge for Andy because I’m a Full Preterist that does not go along with what mainline Full Preterist believe in about this.

27 I would say that what I believe in starts with the Individual Body View that Ed Stevens has, whereas mainline Full Preterism is based on the Corporate Body View of Max King the founder which Don Preston has been promoting. 28 Then there is the Covenant Creation View that stems from the Corporate Body View that a lot Full Preterist believe in, but I have a Whole Worldview of Creation that I believe in that sets us apart.

29 Here is what Andy Hauter has to say about the Sons of God in Genesis 6 as Spirited beings who were God’s children who died like men which is also the accepted view of all Christendom that you will rarely see challenged on. 30 It reminded me of reading the Lord of the Rings and as much as I enjoyed reading it, I will put this through to the test of the refining fire to see if it measures up.

“Where were you at my laying the foundation of the earth? ….

when the morning stars were singing together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

32 When God laid the foundations of the earth, the “sons of God” were there, shouting for joy. 33 But who are the sons of God? Obviously, they aren’t humans. 34 This is before the creation of the world. 35 God had a spiritual family before the creation of the world. 36 Right from the start, God had company—other divine beings, the sons of God in the spiritual realm. 37 Like children of God on earth, He has children in the heavens.

38 We also see them in Ps 82

God has taken his place in the divine council;

in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: …

I said, “You are gods,

sons of the Most High, all of you;

nevertheless, like men you shall die,

and fall like any prince.”

39 In this case He is referring to the spiritual beings that have been disobedient. The ones who will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

40 And in Ps 89

Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,

your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!

For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?

Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord,

a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones,

and awesome above all who are around him?

41 So we see in these 3 passages they explicitly contradict the notion of the sons of God as human. 42 These are God’s assembly in the heavens, not on earth. 43 The language is unmistakable.

44 So now that we’ve established who the sons of God are, let’s go back to Rom 8:19:

“For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.”

45 Since you believe “that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption” occurred in AD70, then you must be proclaiming the sons of God have been revealed to you?

46 Obviously, since you don’t even know who they are, they haven’t been revealed to you. 47 And since they haven’t been revealed to you, your view that AD70 as the consummation of all future prophecies is a false one.

48 God’s rule on earth is progressing and advancing against unseen powers of darkness and humanity enslaved to those powers. 49 The kingdom of God has a clear goal: the reclamation of the nations (see the verses earlier in this thread) and a restoration on a global scale. 50 The fulfillment of God’s original intention of having a family council of both divine and human kind will be united on that final day of judgment. 51 We are already in God’s kingdom, but we have not reached that consummation day where “creation will be set free from its bondage to corruption”. We still “wait eagerly for the redemption of our bodies” Rom 8:23

52 whereas Gen 6:1-4 is weird, it doesn’t say sons of God are men. 53 Let scripture interpret scripture, especially using easier to understand scripture with more difficult.

54 Look at all of the Old Testament references to “sons of God.”

DEUTERONOMY 32:8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.

55 This is the story of Babel, where Gods divides humanity in nations and assigns each one of His divine beings.

JOB 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan also came among them. (NKJV)

JOB 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. (NKJV)

JOB 38:4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (NKJV)

PSALM 29:1 O give the Lord you sons of God , give the Lord glory and power; 2 give the Lord the glory of his name. Adore the Lord in his holy court.

PSALM 89:5 The heavens proclaim your wonders, O Lord; the assembly of your holy ones proclaims your truth. 6 For who in the skies can compare with the Lord or who is like the Lord among the sons of God

56 As you can see, each reference above is to angels. 57 There are no instances in the Old Testament where the phrase “sons of God” refers to men.

58 Here’s Gen 6:1 from (Tanakh, the new Jewish Publication Society translation according to the traditional Hebrew text)

GENESIS 6:1 When men began to increase on earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the divine beings saw how beautiful the daughters of men were and took wives from among those that pleased them. 3 The Lord said, “My breath shall not abide in man forever, since he too is flesh; let the days allowed him be one hundred and twenty years.”

59 It was then, and later too, that the Nephilim appeared on earth when the divine beings cohabited with the daughters of men, who bore them offspring. 60 They were the heroes of old, the men of renown.

61 Whereas this idea of angels mating with humans is unbelievable to us, this narrative was prevalent in the ancient near East and of course in Greek and Roman mythology.

62 This is also confirmed in the NT. Jude wrote of the fornication of the angels.

63 JUDE 6 Remember too the angels, how some of them were not content to keep the dominion given to them but abandoned their proper home; and God has reserved them for judgement on the great Day, bound beneath the darkness in everlasting chains. 7 Remember Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbouring towns; like the angels, they committed fornication and followed unnatural lusts; and they paid the penalty in eternal fire, an example for all to see.

64 In verse 7 he compares the sexual wickedness of men in Sodom, Gomorrah, to the sexual sin of the angels.

65 By their sexual immorality, these angels produced offspring which were strong and violent. 66 The concept of a race of giants which resulted from the union of gods and humans is virtually universal in the world’s early civilizations.

67 The original intent of the angels may have only been to satisfy their forbidden lust. 68 Yet the knowledge they brought with them and taught mankind caused society to develop at a rapid technological pace. 69 This societal development was not positive, and it gave rise to a very violent society, one in which the Nephilim apparently played a large role. 70 God restrained the wicked angels that produced the Nephilim in the Abyss, and cleansed the earth of them and the violence they brought with the great Flood.

71 So now we will look at this rule of first comes the natural, then the Spiritual instead of Spiritual first for things on the Earth such as Angels “messengers”, and whether the Sons of God in Genesis 6 were there fallen Angels from Heaven, or the possibility of the Sons of God were men created from the dust of the Earth like Adam was. 72 There are a few unanswered question that Moses did not write about when he wrote the first five books of the Bible so we can only assume some things that would still be in line with the scriptures while filling in the gaps with what science tells us so long as it does not violate the word of God. 73 This possibility of assumption would answer questions like who were the men began to call on the name of the Lord from Genesis 4:26, and who did Cain marry, or who would have killed him for killing his brother Able.

74 It all starts after the first four days before the Sun and Moon were created on the fourth day and the Earth only had plant life on it while getting its source of light from somewhere else other than the Sun. 75 How days were measured before that and what light was created to measure the first four days we do not know, maybe there was a massive transition within the galaxy or universe that stirred things up.

Genesis 1:14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Angels Vs. Messengers:

76 To start with first we will look at the word Angel to see if it always meant a Spirited being or Human being.

77 The very first time the word angel or messenger is used in the Bible was concerning Abraham’s offspring. 78 The second time was when two angels went to Sodom with a message to Lot.

Genesis 19:1 And two of the messengers come towards Sodom at even, and Lot is sitting at the gate of Sodom, and Lot seeth, and riseth to meet them, and boweth himself — face to the earth,

Genesis 19:1 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.

79 The English word “angel” comes from the Greek word ἄγγελος, meaning “messenger.” Angels give messages to God’s people. Angel derives from the Greek angelos, a translation of a Hebrew word meaning messenger.

80 John the Baptist was a messenger but he was not a Spirited being like the Angels who are in Heaven, he was a Prophet.

Matthew 11:9 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. 10 For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’ 11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

81 John the Baptist was born from a woman on Earth but he was filled with the Holy Spirit while in the womb, that was the difference between him and others yet to be born again of the Spirit was greater like but in a good way an antitype Spiritual fulfillment of:

Genesis 6:4The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of mankind, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

82 The first century Church were the First Fruits who had the Spirit and they became the Bride of Christ at the Marriage of the Lamb. 83 The rest of the Whole Creation were adopted into the family of Christ which was the Manifestation of the Sons of God; And all those born after that which includes you and me are the Manifested Sons of God, we were not adopted because we were born into the family of Christ. 84 The first century Church was like a hybrid of Offspring from Adam into Christ which made them greater than John the Baptist for what reason all I can say is what I’ve just said.

So what is malak? It says, a messenger specifically of God that is an angel, also a prophet, priest or teacher. Note how all these words share the same exact word–malak. So what does that suggest?

Confusing these 4 entities: angel, prophet, priest and teacher as synonymous because they share the same Hebrew word–malak is an unintelligent way of making translation. So its rather that these are optional as choices in translating the Hebrew malak to english. Of course, it necessitates context. Whenever malak is used on spirit beings in human form it should have been angel. Human messengers though must be prophets, priests or teachers. It cannot be angels except though when they are naturally spirits but sent in human forms like the messengers sent to Lot and Abraham.

Why do i say so?

Because all angels are spirit beings.

Hebrews 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

So as conclusion, basing it on the categorical and descriptive vocabulary of malak, it is simply a messenger in 4 distinct categories: angel, prophet, priest and teacher. Nowhere did it suggest that because they have the same Hebrew word then they can be synonymous.

No. They are all messengers yet distinct and different in their own unique descriptions. Therefore it’s safe to conclude that not all messengers are angels. Some could be prophets or priests or teachers.

And manalo cannot be an angel–as much so, that nothing guarantee that human messengers are angels. Nothing.

Now, remember what i said? God never said scholars are correct. So when the scholar said malachimeans “my angel”, what guarantee that he is correct? What if its “my prophet” or “my priest” etc…

If human messengers cannot be angels, then how come John the Baptist is an angel according to the English translations of the bible?

Obviously–a wrong translation. The greek word used for angel is aggelos. Lets look at it.

What does it mean?

The right translation is a messenger. To say, especially an angel indicates that a messenger is not always an angel as emphasized by the term: especially. Meaning, a messenger is an angel but it could also be other than an angel, it could be a prophet, priest or teacher as suggested by the Hebrew term–malak. Therefore, nothing is confirmatory to say that John is an angel. He is a messenger–that is, aggelos in greek yet nothing determines his being an angel because the right form of a messenger he is should have been a prophet. Not angel. That is as far as KJV’s STRONGS CONCORDANCE is concerned. How about the scholar what scholarly evidence did he provide?

With these, nothing is valid, definite or confirmatory to say human messengers are angels.

86 A Prophet is an individual who is regarded as being in contact with a divine being and is said to speak on behalf of that being, serving as an intermediary with humanity by delivering messages or teachings from the supernatural source to other people. 87 John the Baptism was said to be more than a Prophet. 88 Here are some scriptures relating to the differences for using either angel or messenger that are either Spirited being or human beings and as you will see these words are using to mean either one or the other.

Psalm 104:4 Who makes His angels spirits,

89 Now in the case of Genesis 19:1 where the two angels came to Sodom, these angels appeared as men as verse 8 says they were: See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”

90 Lot was trying to prevent the men of the town from trying to sexually harass the two Angels who came to warn him to get out of Sodom because God was going to destroy it, and offered his daughters instead of offending the two Angels “men” from God. 91 These Angels were men according to Lot sent as messengers from God. The word angel here does not apply to Spirited beings unless they were Spirited beings manifesting themselves as humans. 92 Angels can physically appear or disappear, they can appear in other forms or they can appear in human form. 93 Where Jesus said in Luke 20:36 the regeneration in the Age to come they would be like the Angels. 94 He was referring to the afterlife when we would be in our Spiritual body that was the redemptive body the saints were eagerly waiting for according to Romans 8:23.

Jude 5-7

95 In Jude 6 the word angels or messenger does not necessary mean it was the Devil and his Angels who rebelled against God in Heaven as many believe it to be, it was about the Nephilim or Sons of God who breed with the daughters of men.

Jude 5and to remind you I intend, you knowing once this, that the Lord, a people out of the land of Egypt having saved, again those who did not believe did destroy; 6 messengers also, those who did not keep their own principality, but did leave their proper dwelling, to a judgment of a great day, in bonds everlasting, under darkness He hath kept, 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these, having given themselves to whoredom, and gone after other flesh, have been set before — an example, of fire age-during, justice suffering.

96 Jude 5-7 refers to these three groups of people.

Jude 5: about the Egyptians drowning in the Red Sea
Jude 6: about the Sons of God or Nephilim destroyed Noah’s flood

Jude 7: about the wicked men of Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed by fire

97 I see these Sons of God in Genesis 6 as being messengers to those who were alive at the laying of the foundations of the Earth that call on the name of the Lord, they could have been a part of the Devine counsel along with the Angels in Heaven according to Psalms 82 & 89. 98 The Sons of God eventually back slid and left their proper dwelling which would have been a man and a women bonded as one flesh in family unit, but ended up having given themselves to whoredom, and gone after other flesh, with the possibility of cross breeding with Neanderthals producing Nephilim or a hybrid of human giants. 99 It would be like cross breeding horses with donkeys that produced mules or humans with apes, it would have been an abomination to God.

Genesis 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.

Genesis 6:1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. The Nephilim and the Sons of God:

101 The Nephilim were mostly destroyed from the flood of Noah’s time but their DNA was pasted on through Noah’s family that had pasted down the line from generations before the flood, as we see the Nephilim mentioned in the promised land that the children of Israel were afraid of because they were giants.

Numbers 13:32 So they brought a bad report of the land which they had spied out to the sons of Israel, saying, “The land through which we have gone to spy out is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are people of great stature. 33 We also saw the Nephilim there (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

102 King David Killed Goliath who was a giant that could have had Nephilim DNA in him. 103 So according to the Bible, the Nephilim were a race of humanoids, large in stature and without the soul which distinguished Adamic humans, with which they interbred and produced a hybrid humanoid race (Men of Renown), and that there were still Nephilim in Canaan when Joshua crossed the Jordan. 104 While this account seems to be filled with myths and etiology, there are striking parallels with Neanderthals, a cousin species of Homo Sapiens who became extinct. 105 Archaeological remains show that Neanderthal Man was a hominid that was 20% larger in size than humans yet had much smaller brains and inferior intellectual capability. 106 The Nephilim are mysterious beings or people in the Hebrew Bible who are described as being large and strong.The word Nephilim is loosely translated as giants in many translations of the Hebrew Bible, but left untranslated in others. 107 Some Jewish explanations interpret them as hybrid sons of fallen angels (demigods) which is probably where this view of the Sons of God got started from.

108 Nephilim could have been a cross breed between Neanderthals with humans that were created like Adam was, that the humans were not born from women, therefore called Sons of God. 109 Or the Neanderthals could have been the Sons of God who cross bred with human women that produced the Nephilim cross breeds who were classified as human. 110 I lean more to the former rather than the latter view. 111 So for the sake of being scripturally correct with a possible accurate account, Adam was the very first human man God created. 112 God could have created more humans after Adam and Eve in the same way after the Seventh Day of rest who were the Sons of God in Genesis 6, like Adam was considered to be a Son of God though Jesus was the only begotten Son. 113 There could have been Neanderthals who were created on the fifth day of creation along with other beasts. 114 We do not know how long it took Adam and Eve to sin but some say it was about seven years. 115 If true that would have given some time for things to happen and fit in with the Genesis story that Cain would have had to deal with as far as other people on the Earth who were a threat to him, and the other people on the Earth who Cain married for a wife. 116 I have an easier time believing this rather than humans breeding with fallen angels that their offspring were the Nephilim or giants according to:

Genesis 6:4 There were giants “Nephilim” on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

117 I also believe that God had a Devine Counsel of Sons of God who were created from the dust of the Earth according to Psalms 82 & 89. 118 As you can see the Psalms 82 speaks of Earthly things rather than Heavenly things so the Devine Counsel could have been more so with men on Earth who were gods after Adam sinned, instead of men created in God’s image.

Psalm 82

God stands in the congregation of the mighty;
He judges among the gods.

How long will you judge unjustly,
And show partiality to the wicked? Selah

Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.

They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.

I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.

But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.”

The New Creation:

119 I believe that the whole creation became a new creation in AD70 in a similar way that the first century Church became a new creation, old things pasted away and all things became new. As compared to Revelation 21 for the New Heaven and Earth, old things pasted away and all things became new.

120 The first century saints were forerunners for experiencing the new creation with all things made new while the rest of the world had to wait to be delivered from the Age of Corruption according to Romans 8:20-21 and be restored back to like it was in the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve sinned. 121 In the four verse below we can see that the first century Church served as a type for the antitype of all creation being made new as well as being delivered from the power of darkness.

First Century Church:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Age to Come Whole Creation:

Revelation 21:5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

Romans 8:20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Who Are the Sons of God…?

122 Determining who the Sons of God were and who they are now has a great effect on how eschatology is to be interpreted. 123 Everything consummates at the fulfillment of Romans 8:18-25 and lines up with the prophecy of Daniel’s Tenfold Jubilee that was to be the restoration of all things like the Garden of Eden was. 124 Jubilee demands full redemption and the 70 Weeks of Daniel has Jubilee written all over it. 125 Jesus said all the things that the Prophets spoke of would be soon be fulfilled within their generation and the signs He spoke of in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 all came to past in AD70. 126 Some say Daniel’s 70 Weeks ended in AD33 but that does not allow for all the things spoken of in Daniel 9:24-27 to be fulfilled with a full redemption Jubilee for the whole Creation that Romans 8:20-22 spoke of. 127 While AD70 does allow them to be fulfilled with the power of the Holy people being totally shattered after the Great Tribulation of 3.5 years according to Daniel 12:7; and their Temple being destroyed, which brought the Age to come to begin with the New Heaven and Earth. 128 AD33 does not allow these kinds of fulfillments for Daniel’s 70 Weeks to take place for a confirmation of the New Covenant no matter how hard they try to convince people that those 490 years had to be consistent without a gap of 117 years. 129 Romans 8:19 mentions the manifestation of the Sons of God that all of the whole creation was eagerly waiting for to happen, so this topic is very important to get it right. 130 Otherwise mankind will dwell in Outer Darkness not being able to see the truth of how God sees humanity from His perspective and His Redemption Plan fulfilled. 131 We truly have an awesome God who loves us, it’s just that most never see it and yet God allows us to reject the truth and suffer the consequences for it with a false expectation that the world will be destroyed first. 132 For it is in this hope of Romans 8:18-25 that we are saved, not in the hope for total destruction for the planet and all of mankind before a new creation is created.

133 Many become delusional by thinking that if everyone becomes a child of God means everyone get a free pass into the Kingdom of Heaven but this is not the case. 134 It just means everyone starts life like a child but most become like the Prodigal Son in Luke 15 did before he turned his back on his Father and Spiritually died. 135 The Prodigal Son started life as a family member who was alive and in right standing with his Father. He decided to turn his back on him and left but eventually came back and repented. 136 Had he not done that he would have never known how much his Father loved him and would have died in his sin and have been separated from him never truly knowing him. 137 Like many people today are subjects for the Lake of Fire because they do not really know God and do not bare the fruits of the Kingdom. 138 So no this is not about Universal Salvation just because the whole Creation was delivered from the bondage of Corruption in AD70; it just means that we are not living under the same conditions they were living in before AD70 because the Old Heaven and Earth passed away.

139 Andy Hauter who is a Futurist ask me if I knew who the Sons of God were because of my view of AD70 who I thought they were was false according to him. 140 I found it rather odd that Andy’s futurist view of who he believes that the Sons of God was that they were Angels who had Spiritual bodies but died like men according to Psalms 82. 141 Yet he also believes he will have a resurrected physical body for the afterlife, and not a Spiritual body like the Sons of God that he believes had on Earth. 142 In 1 Corinthians 15:44-45 Paul said those resurrected from the dead would have a Spiritual body, that would also be a same redemptive body that the Whole Creation were eagerly waiting for according to Romans 8:19-23.

143 After reading Andy’s view which is also the same view of mainline Christianity of the Sons of God being Spiritual beings of God’s family of Spiritual children who some how were sent to the Earth to breed with human woman and produce offspring that were Nephilim and were extremely strong that died like men. 144 I realize that this view has been the most popular and accepted view within Christianity. 145 That view never sat right with me so I have taken the same liberty to describe my view now as I see it in a more realistic way and for the Sons of God to be actual men created by God like God created Adam, from the dust of the Earth. 146 Why should those with a futuristic view get the free pass to interpret who the Sons of God were, and call all other views false; so in these scriptures below they will show you how man became a god or like God and that the other gods, people bowed down to were not gods, but gods were men according to what Jesus said what was written according to their law.

Jeremiah 2:11 Has a nation changed its gods, Which are not gods? But My people have changed their Glory For what does not profit.

Isaiah 37:18 Truly, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations and their lands, 19 and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were not gods, but the work of men’s hands—wood and stone. Therefore they destroyed them. 20 Now therefore, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord, You alone.”

Genesis 3:5 For God knows that on the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will become like God, knowing good and evil.”

147 Same verse but from the King James translation using the word gods instead of like God:

148 Jesus was God manifested in the flesh and was the only Begotten Son of God and this is what was said about that when it comes to Angels being children Fathered by God:

Hebrews 1:5 For to which of the angels did He ever say,

“You are My Son,
Today I have fathered You”?

And again,

“I will be a Father to Him
And He will be a Son to Me”? NKJV

149 Here is what I see the scripture saying who the Sons of God were, and I do not see them as the Angels in Heaven send to breed with human woman and die like men.

Sons of God as other humans God created from the Earth like He did Adam after the 7th day of rest.
Sons of God as being children of Israel
Sons of God as being those lead by the Holy Spirit in the first century
Sons of God as the final antitype to all others that includes the whole human race after the regeneration or restoration of all things in AD70 with Jesus Christ as our Spiritual Everlasting Father and the first century Church who was the Bride of Christ as our Spiritual Mother which the Whole Creation are Offspring of. To remain it you have to be worthy of immortal life for the afterlife in Heaven.

150 I cover the original creation more in-depth in my article called Biblical Creation Worldview “BCW” and said that I have not settled on this position yet, but if I see others take a hold on it I would most likely take a stronger position on it with confirmation from others.

151 When Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible he left some gaps wide open for the speculation of our imaginations to explore. 152 So I attempt to assume what could have happened because the door was open for unanswered questions like who did Cain marry, and who were the people that would have killed Cain for murdering his brother Able if God did not put a mark on Cain.

155 According to how Andy Hauter would see it Deuteronomy 32:8 according to the NASB translation, it says the Sons of Israel, as the Sons of God, and the Septuagint Bible says angels of God, as the Sons of God. Yet in Genesis 6:5 God calls the Sons of God men. 156 Here are three different version all using different names for the Sons of God. 157 Either they were Sons of God, Angels of God or Sons of Israel. 158 Do we get to pick and choose who they were or is it a one way street with one of the three to pick from. 159 Do we not have to rightly divide the word of truth and compare it with the context of all scriptures regarding who the Sons of God were or do we get to pick the one that fits our view.

160 Here are three different versions that either says Sons of God, Sons of Israel or the Angels of God all from the same passage in Deuteronomy 32:8; but the whole context of this chapter seems to target Israel’s relationship to God and there was no foreign god with him; and verse 17 mentions they sacrificed to demons, not to God, To gods they did not know.

161 Andy uses the English Standard Version that says sons of God, but the New American Standard Bible has been classified as the most accurate Bible but some reject it because of this topic on who God’s divine counsel and who the sons of God were sons of Israel because they believe that the Sons of God were Angels in human form.

In the Beginning When God Created Mankind they were Sons of God:

173 Perhaps after the flood of Noah, mankind developed differently according to the location they were in which formed the human race into different races; that was different than the way God original created them before mankind started breeding with women. 174 As mankind could have came out from the dust of the Earth, each location could of had the right kinds of elements in the dust of the Earth that would help mankind survive in that location better than other locations and the amount of Sunlight they would get changing their skin colour as well as the kinds of food they ate.

178 Seth was born from Adam and Eve who definitely had an influenced on other people that they began to call upon the name of the Lord. 179 Where did these people come from unless Adam and Eve had other children not mentioned in the Bible.

Genesis 4;25 Adam had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, for, she said, “God has appointed me another child in place of Abel, because Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then people began to call upon the name of the Lord.

180 There could have been a time when the Sons of God created from the dust of the Earth called on the name of the Lord and this could have been part of the Divine Council along with those in Heaven that Psalms 82 was talking about. 181 But the Sons of God took many wives for themselves who could have been their own daughters, instead of one woman for one man like Adam and Eve did.

Genesis 4:26 says men began to call on the name of the Lord. Chapter 5 is just about the genealogy of Adam then in Genesis 6:1-2 says that the Sons of God were men.

182 Notice how Satan was around the Sons of God according to Job 1:6 and 2:1 just like Satan was around Adam and Eve when tempting them to sin. 183 Satan tempted the Sons of God with the daughters of men, so they got away from the way God intended plan for a man to have one wife. They also became violent so that God destroyed them in the flood of Noah.

Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Genesis 6:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

184 There was a different between the Sons of God and the sons of men. 185 The Sons of God would have not have earthly fathers because they were created from the dust of the Earth like Adam was. 186 The Sons of God would have been there at the laying down of the foundations of the earth because they would have been the first generation of mankind created by God like God created Adam, from the dust of the Earth. 187 After a few generations they became a layer of the foundations of the Earth’s crust and over time other layers were built over them as previous generations were buried in the Earth.

188 The Sons of God in the past were human, that did not get a special pass and would died like all other men would as Ps 82 says. 189 They didn’t escape physical death just because they were Sons of God. 190 Spirited beings in Heaven do not die like men as Andy Hauter says they did because Spirited beings would be immortal in Heaven.

191 This is what Andy Hauter said to me about the Sons of God: Obviously, since you don’t even know who they are, they haven’t been revealed to you. 192 And since they haven’t been revealed to you, your view that AD70 as the consummation of all future prophecies is a false one.

193 Yet Andy Hauter says that the Sons of God were Angels with Spiritual bodies that were God’s children before the Earth was created; but Hebrews 1:5 does not say that. 128 Hebrews 1:5 proves that Angels were not fathered by God that died like men.

Hebrews 1:5 For to which of the angels did He ever say,

“You are My Son,
Today I have fathered You”?

And again,

“I will be a Father to Him
And He will be a Son to Me”? NKJV

194 With the Sons of God as a type, this rule would apply to Romans 8:19 with the regeneration and restoration of all things in AD70; for the antitype of Spiritual Sons of God to all of mankind that would not inherit the death Adam brought to mankind. 195 A restoration back to like it was in the Garden of Eden before Adam sinned except with Jesus Christ as our Everlasting Father for all of mankind. 196 And to have a Spiritual Redemptive body in the afterlife which is our hope that we are saved by. 197 Instead of looking forward to a resurrection like they did in the first century we are the children of the resurrection that will not need to be resurrected when we die. 198 We will receive our Spiritual body right away instead of waiting for it in Hades that was cast into the Lake of Fire. 199 Adam’s death was the last enemy which has been under Christ’s feet since AD70.

1 Corinthians 15:55“O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?” 56The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

200 The Overcomer’s in Revelation’s Seven Churches were to rule over the nations of the Earth but like the Nephilim, the Roman Catholic Church ruled over the nations centuries ago but abused their power until the Magna Carta and the US Constitution and Bill of Rights put a stop to it. 201 The corrupt Church during the dark Ages of history, were not the Overcomer’s the Book of Revelation was talking about. 202 But this goes to show how they could be an antitype of the Nephilim for the New Creation of the New Heaven and Earth.

As a Christian apologist, I receive difficult and profound questions all the time. My job is to answer them and hope that my responses—though many times incomplete—may bring some resolution. Lately, one topic that generates quite a few questions has to do with interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals. And the questions that people raise are difficult and profound.

Is it true that modern humans and Neanderthals interbred?
If interbreeding took place, what does that mean for the credibility of the biblical account of human origins?
Did the children resulting from these interbreeding events have a soul? Did they bear the image of God?

In a previous article, I tackled a few of the most commonly asked questions about interbreeding and explored the scientific implications for the RTB human origins model. In this piece, I will respond to some of the most commonly asked theological questions connected to interbreeding between modern humans and hominins.

Is There Biblical Warrant for Interbreeding between Modern Humans and Neanderthals?

An initial reading of the human origin creation accounts leaves one with the impression that interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals lacks biblical support. Yet, a more careful consideration of the biblical text leaves room for this possibility. Toward this end, it is interesting that Genesis 6:1-2 describes the Nephilim as the hybrid offspring of interbreeding between the sons of God and the daughters of men. While this is an extremely difficult passage to interpret, it is clear that modern humans—the descendants of Adam and Eve—interbred outside their line and it displeased God.

In effect, the act that led to the Nephilim—and by extension the interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals—shouldn’t be surprising. As a result of the fall, modern humans have a depraved nature. The consequence of this depravity came to a head just prior to the flood. Genesis 6:5 relates, “The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.” One could easily envision that out of this wickedness, humans could have pursued Neanderthals for evil ends, even though these hominins weren’t like us.

Leviticus 18:23 also makes room for the possibility that modern humans interbred with Neanderthals (and other hominins). This passage condemns and forbids bestiality. Given humanity’s propensity to have intercourse with animals, it is not shocking that humans would interbreed with creatures like Neanderthals (who much more closely resemble humans).

Did Modern Human-Neanderthal Hybrids Have a Soul?

Tricky theological issues abound if indeed modern humans interbred with Neanderthals—the chief one being whether the hybrids had a soul. Did they possess the image of God?

To properly engage this concern, we need to consider the two most prominent theological models for ensoulment from the perspective of the historic Christian faith. It is clear from the genealogies in Genesis 5 that the image of God (along with the consequences of Adam’s sin) have been transmitted to Adam and Eve’s descendants. How does this transmission occur functionally ?

One view, called traducianism, maintains that each individual inherits the immaterial aspect of their being—their spirit or soul, if you will—from both parents, with the souls of their parents blending together to produce a new soul. This spiritual inheritance bears an analogy to biological inheritance in which each individual uniquely derives their physical features from both parents through a “blending” of their genetic material. In traducianism, it is only Adam and Eve who possess souls that were directly created by God.

Another view, creationism, explains the origin of each person’s soul or spirit as the product of God’s direct creative activity. Just as God created the souls of Adam and Eve, so he creates the immaterial aspect of each person individually, presumably at the time of their conception or shortly thereafter.

By employing either model, it is possible to conceive of scenarios by which a human-hominin hybrid receives a soul. For example, within the creationist framework, one could envision God creating a soul in the human-Neanderthal hybrid at the time of conception, honoring the fact that one of the parents is an image-bearer and knowing that the hybrid would likely interbreed with other humans.

In the case of traducianism, as long as one of the parents is an image bearer, then the offspring should, too, possess God’s image. In effect, the image of God is indivisible. Either a being has the image of God or doesn’t. It makes no sense to think of a creature having only half of the image of God.

So, even if modern humans and Neanderthals did interbreed, it doesn’t invalidate the biblical account of human origins for biblical or theological reasons. While the discovery of interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals does stand as a failed prediction of the RTB human origins model, it doesn’t falsify it. Rather, it forces us to revise the model. The good news is that this revision, though it leads to difficult questions, does not violate the teachings of Scripture.
